Fu-com Kuwait invited all its partners as well as the media to introduce the company and its management team at a Ghabka evening on 8th September, 2008. The evening was a resounding success and provided the perfect platform for networking and fostering relations between the Fu-com management team, the media and suppliers.

Fu-com Kuwait is part of BMA International, which owns and operates both The RedTag Group and Retail Arabia. The Red Tag Group operates a successful chain of Value and Discount Home Stores under a variety of brand names across the GCC – RedTag, Sana, Jamil Fashions, Discount Home Stores, S’maa Fashions and GulfMart. Retail Arabia under its operating division, Fu-com, operates the Géant Hypermarkets, Le Marche Supermarkets and Petit Marche convenience stores in key GCC markets.

In 1999, Retail Arabia acquired the franchise for operating Géant Hypermarkets in leading GCC markets. Géant Hypermarkets is a part of Groupe Casino, a French retailing giant with 9,948 stores in 11 countries* with a turnover of more than Euro 22 billion, 20 per cent of which comes from international sales. Created in 1898, the company operates a variety of hypermarket and supermarket chains (Géant, Le Marche, Casino Supermarche, Monoprix, Franprix/Leader Price), convenience stores (Petit Casino, Spar, Vival and Eco Service) as well as restaurants and cafes.
